Villa Agapanthus is in the sought after region of Northeast Corfu just above the charming fishing village of San Stephanos (12 minute walk, 5 minute drive).

 

San Stephanos is a very pretty secluded bay with a small pebble beach, wooden jetty’s and thriving tavernas.  You can rent boats and explore the idyllic coast line and neighbouring bays which include Kerasia, Koulora, Agni and Kalami which all have wonderful tavernas where you can stop for lunch.

 

If you would prefer to walk, there are coastal paths to all of these bays and also to Avlaki which has sailing and horse riding and two fabulous tavernas.  There is also a variety of water sports close by in Kalami.

 

Agapanthus is a 10 minute drive from the port of Kassiopi which is a larger village with tavernas, shops and an ancient castle.

 

Other places to visit include the  restored village of Perthia and the mountains behind Mainly Mount Pantokrator, Corfu’s highest mountain which provides for amazing hikes particularly in the spring months when it is scattered with beautiful wild flowers.

 

The villa is 50 minutes from Corfu airport and Corfu town which is on the world heritage list.  It is full of wonderful tavernas. shops and cobbled alleys and squares.
